# Facebook Pixel

The Facebook Pixel collects data that helps you track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and remarket to people who have already taken some kind of action on your website.

You can refer to their instructions [here](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/952192354843755?id=1205376682832142)

You should not copy the code block that is provided by Facebook, but instead copy the Facebook Pixel ID that is provided and paste it within the `config.yml` file in the following format:

```
facebook-pixel: <Your Facebook pixel>
```

{% hint style="danger" %}
We currently do not support **Google Tag Manager** as it requires the team to loosen our security policy
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://v2.isomer.gov.sg/features/analytics-and-seo/facebook-pixel.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
